David Grossman

David Grossman (b. 1954, Jerusalem) is the author of novels, nonfiction, a play, an opera, a collection of short stories, and numerous children’s books. His works have been translated into more than 40 languages, and have been adapted for film and stage in Israel and abroad. Grossman has been awarded many Israeli and international prizes, among them the International Man Booker Prize (2017) for his book, “A Horse Walks into a Bar,” and the Israel Prize for Literature for the Year 2018.
